Welcome to the North Shore Hebrew Academy Alumni Association. NSHA graduates have become leaders in their various professions and communities. While our graduates have moved on to different stages in their lives, and different parts of the country, our goal is to keep our NSHA family connected. Our alumni are always willing to help their former NSHA peers. The Alumni Association will connect alumni in Israel and on college campuses, provide internship and job opportunities, host networking and social events, and share simchas and unfortunate losses. While students graduate from the NSHA, they never truly leave the NSHA community.
The NSHA Alumni Association is dedicated to meeting the needs of our alumni. To make this possible, we need your involvement! If you are interested in helping with any aspect of alumni affairs, please email Laura Cohen - Director of Alumni Affairs or Rabbi Sean Jensen - Coordinator of Alumni Affairs, at email@example.com or at the emails listed below. Please also share your milestones with us so we can include them in our Alumni Newsletters. We look forward to hearing from you.

And remember to connect with us!
We had a fantastic turnout at our third annual “Alumni Day” this year. Over 100 alumni returned to the high school on the day before Thanksgiving for this annual tradition. Alumni visited their old lockers and classrooms, spoke to their former teachers and administrators, and reconnected with their former high school classmates. For some extra nostalgia all alumni enjoyed a free pizza lunch in the lunchroom. Some ate in the faculty dining room, something they were never able to do as students. The day culminated in a special Tehilim service for a complete Refuah Shlema for Daniela Benzaquen (’15) . Baruch Hashem we are happy to report that Daniela is now cancer free!

Alumni Networking Event at Facebook
On February 26, 2019, alumni gathered at Facebook NYC headquarters for a networking panel discussion led by Facebook Client Partner, Alex Luxenberg, Google Principal Software Engineer, Micah Lemonik, and Twitter Global Agency Lead, Nedav Geft. The panelists discussed their careers and offered valuable tips on the array of career opportunities available in the technology industry. The discussion was followed by a lengthy question/answer segment where alumni asked probing questions about working for technology companies and what they could do to increase their chances of landing a job in the current market. As one panelist explained: “the most important factor in finding a job in technology companies is having a connection— knowing someone who works there. Now all of you know someone working at Google, Twitter and Facebook. We are here to help you.” Following the discussion everyone continued networking over food and drinks. We thank our panelists for taking the time out of their busy schedules to help our NSHAHS alumni. As one alum told us, “the event was so fun and inspiring.”
Look out for more networking events in the coming months!
