H&M and NSHAHS Thanksgiving Clothing Drive
Each year tons and tons of clothing and textiles end up in our landfills. As much as 95% could be repurposed and reused. Mr. Gerard Wykes and Mr. Peter Suchmann, working with students in our Environmental Club, ran a clothing drive for the H&M Garment Collecting Initiative. Over the course of 2 weeks, 5 large bags of clothing were collected and delivered to the H&M store in Roosevelt Field. In addition to repurposing the fabrics and the clothes, H&M worldwide is donating 3 cents for every 2.2 pounds of clothing or material. Our thanks to everyone who helped in this great initiative.
